Accreditation of inspection bodies for builders hoists for persons
Annex 3 to the executive order no. 428 on the application of technical equipment
- An inspection body that conducts site inspections and periodic inspections of builders hoists for persons shall be accredited by DANAK - The Danish Accreditation Fund or by a similarly recognised accreditation body.
- The inspection body shall be accredited according to the standard DS/EN ISO/IEC 17020 'Conformity assessment — Requirements for the operation of various types of bodies performing inspection' in force at all times, as a type A inspection body.
- In addition to the requirement specified in sub-section 1, the accreditation of an inspection body for the inspection builders hoists for persons shall demonstrate that the company:
- has knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and relevant, recognised norms, standards, etc.,
- can demonstrate that employees are continuously informed about and instructed in relevant executive orders, WEA guidelines, norms, standards, and have knowledge of manufacturers’ instructions for use, maintenance instructions, etc. relevant to the types of builders hoists for persons inspected by the company,
- is in possession of the necessary tools, including measuring equipment, to conduct the inspection and,
- employs personnel who have in-depth knowledge of the operation, safety features and test methods of builders hoists for persons and are able to assess whether the builders hoist for persons remains in a safe and sound
