Instructions for marking of containers and pipe systems

Annex 3 to Executive Order no. 2107 of 24 November 2021 on Building and Construction

List of substances and materials which shall be stored in an appropriate and locked-off place, cf. section 32

Substances and materials that are labelled with at least one of the following symbols or GHS pictograms, cf. Regulation (EC) no. 1272/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council on Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (the CLP Regulation):

  • GHS06, skull and crossbones,
  • GHS05, corrosion,
  • GHS01, exploding bomb,

or labelled with at least one of the following hazard statements, cf. the CLP Regulation:

  • H220 Extremely flammable gas,
  • H222 Extremely flammable aerosol,
  • H224 Extremely flammable liquid and vapour,
  • H225 Highly flammable liquid and vapour,
  • H228 Flammable solid,
  • H242 Heating may cause a fire,
  • H250 Catches fire spontaneously if exposed to air,
  • H260 In contact with water releases flammable gases, which can ignite spontaneously

Or that are classified, cf. the CLP Regulation within one or more of the following hazard classes and categories with one or more of the following hazard statements:

  • Specific target organ toxicity — Single exposure, category 1,
    H370 Causes damage to organs <possibly stating which organs are affected
  • Reproductive toxicity, category 1 A or 1 B,
    H360 May damage fertility or the unborn child
  • Carcinogenicity, category 1 A or 1 B,
    H350 May cause cancer
  • Germ cell mutagenicity, category 1 A or 1 B,
    H340 May cause genetic defects.
